I just went to the most fun party....
The holiday season is jam-packed with parties and most of them are so-so, I could live without them. But one of my new friends here in the Grand J hosted a Cookie Exchange and luncheon. We each were asked to bake and bring 3 dozen cookies. We brought the cookies and a pot luck dish to her house. We had a yummy lunch of soups and salads and warm home-made bread and then we exchanged cookies! We each got to take a couple of everyone else's cookies and brought home a whole bunch of different kinds! My kids are going to be so happy and I only had to bake one batch of cookies!! It was awesome! Great food, great friends, great conversation, and great cookies! Who could ask for anything more? Merry Christmas!!

It's the most WONDERFUL time of the year!!
OK, I LOVE Christmas! It is the best time of the year! I love watching my kids get out-of-control excited, be terrified of Santa, hustle and bustle to this party and that store and this school program, and all of the millions of things that are going on at this time of the year. But sometimes I wish we could slow it down just a little bit. It goes by way too fast because we are trying to cram so much into one month! And really my favorite part of Christmas is the true meaning of Christmas. I love the religious part of it, the music, the nativities, the story and the wonder of it all! It is so amazing and so awesome to feel the Spirit and to know that our Savior truly came to this earth as a newborn baby to save us all! I hope that I am doing a good enough job teaching my children the true meaning of this wonderful holiday and helping them to feel the Spirit. Merry Christmas! I wish all of you a wonderful season full of the Spirit and wonderment of it all!!
